Hebrews 6:13-18
13For 1when God made the promise to Abraham, since He could swear by no one greater, He 2swore by Himself,
14saying, “3I will surely bless you and I will surely multiply you.”
15And so, 4having patiently waited, he obtained the promise.
165For men swear by 6one greater than themselves, and with them 7an oath given as confirmation is an end of every dispute.
178In the same way God, desiring even more to show to 9the heirs of the promise 10the unchangeableness of His purpose, 11interposed with an oath,
18so that by two unchangeable things in which 12it is impossible for God to lie, we who have 13taken refuge would have strong encouragement to take hold of 14the hope set before us.
