Hebrews 2:14-18

Therefore, since the children share in 12flesh and blood, 3He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that 4through death He might render powerless 5him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,

and might free those who through 6fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives.

For assuredly He does not 7give help to angels, but He gives help to the 8descendant of Abraham.

Therefore, He 9had 10to be made like His brethren in all things, so that He might 11become a merciful and faithful 12high priest in 13things pertaining to God, to 14make propitiation for the sins of the people.

For since He Himself was 15tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted.
