Hebrews 11:35-38

351Women received back their dead by resurrection; and others were tortured, not accepting their 2release, so that they might obtain a better resurrection; 36and others 3experienced mockings and scourgings, yes, also 4chains and imprisonment. 37They were 5stoned, they were 6sawn in two, 7they were tempted, they were 8put to death with the sword; they went about 9in sheepskins, in goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, 10ill-treated 38(men of whom the world was not worthy), 11wandering in deserts and mountains and caves and holes 12in the ground.
