Habakkuk 3:2-15
2Lord, I have 1heard 2the report about You and 3I 4fear. O Lord, 5revive 6Your work in the midst of the years, In the midst of the years make it known; In wrath remember 78mercy.
3God comes from 9Teman, And the Holy One from Mount 10Paran. Selah. His 11splendor covers the heavens, And the 12earth is full of His praise.4His 13radiance is like the sunlight; He has rays flashing from His hand, And there is the hiding of His 14power.5Before Him goes 15pestilence, And 16plague comes 17after Him.6He stood and surveyed the earth; He looked and 18startled the nations. Yes, the perpetual mountains were shattered, The ancient hills 19collapsed. His ways are 20everlasting.7I saw the tents of Cushan under 21distress, The tent curtains of the land of 22Midian were trembling.
8Did the Lord rage against the 23rivers, Or was Your anger against the rivers, Or was Your wrath against the 24sea, That You 25rode on Your horses, On Your 26chariots of salvation?9Your 27bow was made bare, The rods of 28chastisement were sworn. Selah. You 29cleaved the earth with rivers.10The mountains saw You and quaked; The downpour of waters swept by. The deep 30uttered forth its voice, It lifted high its hands.1131Sun and moon stood in their places; They went away at the 32light of Your arrows, At the radiance of Your gleaming spear.12In indignation You 33marched through the earth; In anger You 3435trampled the nations.13You went forth for the 36salvation of Your people, For the salvation of Your 37anointed. You struck the 38head of the house of the evil To lay him open from 39thigh to neck. Selah.14You pierced with his 40own 41spears The head of his 42throngs. They 43stormed in to scatter 44us; Their exultation was like those Who 45devour the oppressed in secret.15You 46trampled on the sea with Your horses, On the 47surge of many waters.
