Genesis 11:7-9
7Come, 1let Us go down and there 2confuse their 3language, so that they will not understand one another’s 4speech.” 8So the Lord 5scattered them abroad from there over the face of the whole earth; and they stopped building the city. 9Therefore its name was called 67Babel, because there the Lord confused the 8language of the whole earth; and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of the whole earth.
