Galatians 5:13-24

13For you were called to 1freedom, brethren; 2only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love 3serve one another. 14For 4the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, “5You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 15But if you 6bite and devour one another, take care that you are not consumed by one another.

16But I say, 7walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out 8the desire of the flesh. 17For 9the flesh 10sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, 11so that you may not do the things that you 12please. 18But if you are 13led by the Spirit, 14you are not under the Law. 19Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: 15 16immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20idolatry, 17sorcery, enmities, 18strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, 19disputes, dissensions, 20 21factions, 21envying, 22drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not 23inherit the kingdom of God. 22But 24the fruit of the Spirit is 25love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness, 26self-control; against such things 27there is no law. 24Now those who 28belong to 29Christ Jesus have 30crucified the flesh with its passions and 31desires.
