Galatians 3:14-18

14in order that 1in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might 2come to the Gentiles, so that we 3would receive 4the promise of the Spirit through faith.

155Brethren, 6I speak 7in terms of human relations: 8even though it is only a man’s 9covenant, yet when it has been ratified, no one sets it aside or adds 10conditions to it. 16Now the promises were spoken 11to Abraham and to his seed. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as referring to many, but rather to one, “12And to your seed,” that is, Christ. 17What I am saying is this: the Law, which came 13four hundred and thirty years later, does not invalidate a covenant previously ratified by God, so as to nullify the promise. 18For 14if the inheritance is 15based on law, it is no longer 16based on a promise; but 17God has granted it to Abraham by means of a promise.
