Galatians 1:10-14

10For am I now 1seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a 2bond-servant of Christ.

11For 3I would have you know, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is 4not according to man. 12For 5I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a 6revelation of Jesus Christ.

13For you have heard of 7my former manner of life in Judaism, how I 8used to persecute 9the church of God beyond measure and 10tried to destroy it; 14and I 11was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries among my 12countrymen, being more extremely zealous for my 13ancestral traditions.
