2 Timothy 2:17-22

17and their 1talk will spread like 2gangrene. Among them are 3Hymenaeus and Philetus, 18men who have gone astray from the truth saying that 4the resurrection has already taken place, and they upset 5the faith of some. 19Nevertheless, the 6firm foundation of God stands, having this 7seal, “8The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “9Everyone who names the name of the Lord is to abstain from wickedness.”

20Now in a large house there are not only gold and silver vessels, but also vessels of wood and of earthenware, and 10some to honor and some to dishonor. 21Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from 11these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, 12prepared for every good work. 22Now 13flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, 14faith, love and peace, with those who 15call on the Lord 16from a pure heart.
