2 Thessalonians 3:6-15
6Now we command you, brethren, 1in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you 23keep away from every brother who 4leads an 56unruly life and not according to 7the tradition which 8you received from us. 7For you yourselves know how you ought to 910follow our example, because we did not act in an undisciplined manner among you, 8nor did we 11eat 12anyone’s bread 13without paying for it, but with 14labor and hardship we kept 15working night and day so that we would not be a burden to any of you; 9not because we do not have 16the right to this, but in order to offer ourselves 17as a model for you, so that you would 18follow our example. 10For even 19when we were with you, we used to give you this order: 20if anyone is not willing to work, then he is not to eat, either. 11For we hear that some among you are 21leading an undisciplined life, doing no work at all, but acting like 22busybodies. 12Now such persons we command and 23exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ to 24work in quiet fashion and eat their own bread. 13But as for you, 25brethren, 26do not grow weary of doing good.
14If anyone does not obey our 27instruction 2829in this letter, take special note of that person 3031and do not associate with him, so that he will be 32put to shame. 15Yet 33do not regard him as an enemy, but 3435admonish him as a 36brother.
