2 Corinthians 12:16-21
16But be that as it may, I 1did not burden you myself; nevertheless, crafty fellow that I am, I 2took you in by deceit. 173Certainly I have not taken advantage of you through any of those whom I have sent to you, have I? 18I 4urged 5Titus to go, and I sent 6the brother with him. Titus did not take any advantage of you, did he? Did we not 7conduct ourselves 8in the same 9spirit and walk 10in the same steps?
19All this time 11you have been thinking that we are defending ourselves to you. Actually, 12it is in the sight of God that we have been speaking in Christ; and 13all for your upbuilding, 14beloved. 20For I am afraid that perhaps 15when I come I may find you to be not what I wish and may be found by you to be not what you wish; that perhaps there will be 16strife, jealousy, 17angry tempers, 18disputes, 19slanders, 20gossip, 21arrogance, 22disturbances; 21I am afraid that when I come again my God may humiliate me before you, and I may mourn over many of those who have 23sinned in the past and not repented of the 24impurity, 25immorality and sensuality which they have practiced.
