2 Corinthians 11:21-33

21To my 1shame I must say that we have been 2weak by comparison.

But in whatever respect anyone else 3is bold--I 4speak in foolishness--I am just as bold myself. 22Are they 5Hebrews? 6So am I. Are they 7Israelites? 8So am I. Are they 910descendants of Abraham? 11So am I. 23Are they 12servants of Christ?--I speak as if insane--I more so; in 1314far more labors, in 1516far more imprisonments, 1718beaten times without number, often in 19danger of death. 24Five times I received from the Jews 20thirty-nine lashes. 25Three times I was 21beaten with rods, once I was 22stoned, three times I was shipwrecked, a night and a day I have spent in the deep. 26I have been on frequent journeys, in dangers from rivers, dangers from robbers, dangers from my 23countrymen, dangers from the 24Gentiles, dangers in the 25city, dangers in the wilderness, dangers on the sea, dangers among 26false brethren; 27I have been in 27labor and hardship, 28through many sleepless nights, in 29hunger and thirst, often 30without food, in cold and 3132exposure. 28Apart from such 33external things, there is the daily pressure on me of concern for 34all the churches. 29Who is 35weak without my being weak? Who is 36led into sin 37without my intense concern?

30If I have to boast, I will boast of what pertains to my 38weakness. 31The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, 39He who is blessed forever, 40knows that I am not lying. 32In 41Damascus the ethnarch under Aretas the king was 42guarding the city of the Damascenes in order to seize me, 33and I was let down in a basket 43through a window 44in the wall, and so escaped his hands.
