1 Timothy 6:9-12

91But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and 2a snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction. 10For 3the love of money is a root of all 4sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have 5wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

11But 6flee from these things, you 7man of God, and pursue righteousness, godliness, 8faith, 9love, 10perseverance and gentleness. 1211Fight the good fight of 12faith; 13take hold of the eternal life 14to which you were called, and you made the good 15confession in the presence of 16many witnesses.
