1 Timothy 4:1-7
1But 1the Spirit explicitly says that 2in later times some will 3fall away from the faith, paying attention to 4deceitful spirits and 5doctrines of demons, 2by means of the hypocrisy of liars 6seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron, 3men who 7forbid marriage and advocate 8abstaining from foods which 9God has created to be 10gratefully shared in by those who believe and know the truth. 4For 11everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is 12received with gratitude; 5for it is sanctified by means of 13the word of God and prayer.
6In pointing out these things to 14the brethren, you will be a good 15servant of Christ Jesus, constantly nourished on the words of the faith and of the 1617sound doctrine which you 18have been following. 7But 19have nothing to do with 20worldly 21fables fit only for old women. On the other hand, discipline yourself for the purpose of 22godliness;
