1 Timothy 1:13-16
13even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a 1persecutor and a violent aggressor. Yet I was 2shown mercy because 3I acted ignorantly in unbelief;
14and the 4grace of our Lord was more than abundant, with the 5faith and love which are found in Christ Jesus.
156It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that 7Christ Jesus came into the world to 8save sinners, among whom 9I am foremost of all.
16Yet for this reason I 10found mercy, so that in me as the foremost, Jesus Christ might 11demonstrate His perfect patience as an example for those 12who would believe in Him for eternal life.
