1 Timothy 1:11-16

11according to 1the glorious gospel of 2the blessed God, with which I have been 3entrusted.

12I thank 4Christ Jesus our Lord, who has 5strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, 6putting me into service, 13even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a 7persecutor and a violent aggressor. Yet I was 8shown mercy because 9I acted ignorantly in unbelief; 14and the 10grace of our Lord was more than abundant, with the 11faith and love which are found in Christ Jesus. 15 12It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that 13Christ Jesus came into the world to 14save sinners, among whom 15I am foremost of all. 16Yet for this reason I 16found mercy, so that in me as the foremost, Jesus Christ might 17demonstrate His perfect patience as an example for those 18who would believe in Him for eternal life.
