Thessalonians 1:5-8
for our 1gospel did not come to you in word only, but also 2in power and in the Holy Spirit and with 3full conviction; just as you know 4what kind of men we 5proved to be among you for your sake.
You also became 6imitators of us and of the Lord, 7having received 8the word in much tribulation with the 9joy of the Holy Spirit,
so that you became an example to all the believers in 10Macedonia and in 11Achaia.
For 12the word of the Lord has 13sounded forth from you, not only in 14Macedonia and 15Achaia, but also 16in every place your faith toward God has gone forth, so that we have no need to say anything.
