1 Thessalonians 1:2-5

2 1We give thanks to God always for all of you, 2making mention of you in our prayers;

3constantly bearing in mind your 3work of faith and labor of 4love and 5 6steadfastness of hope 7in our Lord Jesus Christ in the presence of 8our God and Father,

4knowing, 9brethren beloved by God, 10His choice of you;

5for our 11gospel did not come to you in word only, but also 12in power and in the Holy Spirit and with 13full conviction; just as you know 14what kind of men we 15proved to be among you for your sake.
