1 Peter 1:15-20

15but 1 2like the Holy One who called you, 3 4be holy yourselves also 5in all your behavior; 16because it is written, “6You shall be holy, for I am holy.”

17If you 7address as Father the One who 8impartially 9judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves 10in fear during the time of your 11stay on earth; 18knowing that you were not 12 13redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your 14futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, 19but with precious 15blood, as of a 16lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ. 20For He was 17foreknown before 18the foundation of the world, but has 19appeared 20in these last times 21for the sake of you
