1 Peter 1:14-19

14As 1 2obedient children, do not 3 4be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your 5ignorance, 15but 6 7like the Holy One who called you, 8 9be holy yourselves also 10in all your behavior; 16because it is written, “11You shall be holy, for I am holy.”

17If you 12address as Father the One who 13impartially 14judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves 15in fear during the time of your 16stay on earth; 18knowing that you were not 17 18redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your 19futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, 19but with precious 20blood, as of a 21lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.
