1 John 4:6-12
61We are from God; 2he who knows God listens to us; 3he who is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know 4the spirit of truth and 5the spirit of error.
76Beloved, let us 7love one another, for love is from God; and 8everyone who loves is 910born of God and 11knows God. 8The one who does not love does not know God, for 12God is love. 9By this the love of God was manifested 1314in us, that 15God has sent His 16only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. 10In this is love, 17not that we loved God, but that 18He loved us and sent His Son to be 19the propitiation for our sins. 1120Beloved, if God so loved us, 21we also ought to love one another. 1222No one has seen God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His 23love is perfected in us.
