5Oה֥וֹיHoH1945Assyrianאַשּׁ֖וּר'a.ShurH804,the rodשֵׁ֣בֶטShe.vetH7626of mine angerאַפִּ֑י'a.PiH639,and the staffוּמַטֶּה־u.ma.teh-H4294in their handבְיָדָ֖םve.ya.DamH3027is mine indignationזַעְמִֽי׃za'.MiH2195.

6I will sendאֲשַׁלְּחֶ֔נּוּ'a.shal.le.Che.nuH7971him against an hypocriticalחָנֵף֙cha.NefH2611nationבְּג֤וֹיbe.GoyH1471,and against the peopleעַ֥ם'amH5971of my wrathעֶבְרָתִ֖י'ev.ra.TiH5678will I give him a chargeאֲצַוֶּ֑נּוּ'a.tzav.Ve.nuH6680,to takeלִשְׁלֹ֤לlish.LolH7997the spoilשָׁלָל֙sha.LalH7998,and to takeוְלָבֹ֣זve.la.VozH962the preyבַּ֔זBazH957,and to tread them downוּלְשׂוּמ֥וֹ מִרְמָ֖סu.le.si.mov mir.MasH4823 H7760like the mireכְּחֹ֥מֶרke.Cho.merH2563of the streetsחוּצֽוֹת׃chu.TzotH2351.

7Howbeit he meanethיְדַמֶּ֔הye.da.MehH1819not so, neither doth his heartוּלְבָב֖וֹu.le.va.VoH3824thinkיַחְשֹׁ֑בyach.ShoH2803so; but it isin his heartבִּלְבָב֔וֹbil.va.VoH3824to destroyלְהַשְׁמִ֣ידle.hash.MidH8045and cut offוּלְהַכְרִ֥יתu.le.hakh.RitH3772nationsגּוֹיִ֖םgo.YimH1471not a fewמְעָֽט׃me.'AtH4592.

8For he saithיֹאמַ֑רyo.MarH559, Arenot my princesשָׂרַ֛יsa.RaiH8269altogetherיַחְדָּ֖וyach.DavH3162kingsמְלָכִֽים׃me.la.KhimH4428?

9Isnot Calnoכַּלְנ֑וֹkal.NoH3641as Carchemishכְּכַרְכְּמִ֖ישׁke.khar.ke.MishH3751? isnot Hamathחֲמָ֔תcha.MatH2574as Arpadכְאַרְפַּד֙khe.'ar.PadH774? isnot Samariaשֹׁמְרֽוֹן׃sho.me.RonH8111as Damascusכְדַמֶּ֖שֶׂקkhe.da.Me.sekH1834?

10As my handיָדִ֔יya.DiH3027hath foundמָצְאָ֣הma.tze.'AhH4672the kingdomsלְמַמְלְכֹ֖תle.mam.le.KhotH4467of the idolsהָאֱלִ֑ילha.'e.LilH457,and whose graven imagesוּפְסִ֣ילֵיהֶ֔םu.fe.Si.lei.HemH6456did excel them of Jerusalemמִירֽוּשָׁלִַ֖םmi.ru.sha.LimH3389and of Samariaוּמִשֹּׁמְרֽוֹן׃u.mi.sho.me.RonH8111;

11Shall I not, as I have doneעָשִׂ֛יתִי'a.Si.tiH6213unto Samariaלְשֹׁמְר֖וֹןle.sho.me.RonH8111and her idolsוְלֶאֱלִילֶ֑יהָve.le.'e.li.Lei.haH457,so doאֶעֱשֶׂ֥ה'e.'e.SehH6213to Jerusalemלִירוּשָׁלִַ֖םli.ru.sha.LimH3389and her idolsוְלַעֲצַבֶּֽיהָ׃ סve.la.'a.tza.Bei.haH6091?

12Wherefore it shall come to pass, thatwhen the Lordאֲדֹנָי֙'a.do.NaiH136hath performedיְבַצַּ֤עye.va.Tza'H1214his whole workמַֽעֲשֵׂ֔הוּma.'a.Se.huH4639upon mountבְּהַ֥רbe.HarH2022Zionצִיּ֖וֹןtzi.YonH6726and on Jerusalemוּבִירוּשָׁלִָ֑םu.vi.ru.sha.LimH3389,I will punishאֶפְקֹ֗ד'ef.KodH6485the fruitפְּרִי־pe.ri-H6529of the stoutגֹ֙דֶל֙go.delH1433heartלְבַ֣בle.VavH3824of the kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Assyriaאַשּׁ֔וּר'a.ShurH804,and the gloryתִּפְאֶ֖רֶתtif.'E.retH8597of his highר֥וּםrumH7312looksעֵינָֽיו׃'ei.NavH5869.

13For he saithאָמַ֗ר'a.MarH559,By the strengthבְּכֹ֤חַbe.Kho.achH3581of my handיָדִי֙ya.DiH3027I have doneעָשִׂ֔יתִי'a.Si.tiH6213it,and by my wisdomוּבְחָכְמָתִ֖יu.ve.cha.khe.ma.TiH2451;for I am prudentנְבֻנ֑וֹתִיne.vu.No.tiH995:and I have removedוְאָסִ֣יר׀ve.'a.SirH5493the boundsגְּבוּלֹ֣תge.vu.LotH1367of the peopleעַמִּ֗ים'a.MimH5971,and have robbedשׁוֹשֵׂ֔תִיsho.Se.tiH8154their treasuresוַעֲתוּדֽוֹתֵיהֶם֙va.'a.ti.do.tei.hemH6264 H6259,and I have put downוְאוֹרִ֥ידve.'o.RidH3381the inhabitantsיוֹשְׁבִֽים׃yo.she.VimH3427like a valiantכַּאבִּ֖ירka.BirH3524 H47man:

14And my handיָדִי֙ya.DiH3027hath foundוַתִּמְצָ֨אva.tim.Tza'H4672as a nestכַקֵּ֤ן׀kha.KenH7064the richesלְחֵ֣ילle.CheilH2428of the peopleהָֽעַמִּ֔יםha.'a.MimH5971:and as one gatherethוְכֶאֱסֹף֙ve.khe.'e.SofH622eggsבֵּיצִ֣יםbei.TzimH1000that areleftעֲזֻב֔וֹתa.zu.VotH5800,have I gatheredאָסָ֑פְתִּי'a.Sa.fe.tiH622all the earthהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776;and there was none that movedנֹדֵ֣דno.DedH5074the wingכָּנָ֔ףka.NafH3671,or openedוּפֹצֶ֥הu.fo.TzehH6475the mouthפֶ֖הfehH6310,or peepedוּמְצַפְצֵֽף׃u.me.tzaf.TzefH6850.

15Shall the axeהַגַּרְזֶ֔ןha.gar.ZenH1631boastהֲיִתְפָּאֵר֙ha.yit.pa.'ErH6286itself against him that hewethהַחֹצֵ֣בha.cho.TzevH2672therewith? orshall the sawהַמַּשּׂוֹר֙ha.ma.sOrH4883magnifyיִתְגַּדֵּ֤לyit.ga.DelH1431itself against him that shakethמְנִיפ֔וֹme.ni.FoH5130it? as if the rodשֵׁ֙בֶט֙she.vetH7626should shakeכְּהָנִ֥יףke.ha.NifH5130itselfagainst them that lift it upמְרִימָ֔יוme.ri.MavH7311, oras if the staffמַטֶּ֖הma.TehH4294should lift upכְּהָרִ֥יםke.ha.RimH7311itself, as if it wereno woodעֵֽץ׃'EtzH6086.

16Therefore shall the Lordהָאָד֜וֹןha.'a.DonH113,the Lordיְהוָ֧הYah.wehH3068 H136of hostsצְבָא֛וֹתtze.va.'otH6635,sendיְשַׁלַּ֨חye.sha.LachH7971among his fat onesבְּמִשְׁמַנָּ֖יוbe.mish.ma.NavH4924leannessרָז֑וֹןra.ZonH7332;and under his gloryכְּבֹד֛וֹke.vo.DoH3519he shall kindleיֵקַ֥דye.KadH3344a burningH3350like the burning of a fireאֵֽשׁ׃'EshH784.
