6In that thou lovestלְאַֽהֲבָה֙le.'a.ha.VahH157thine enemiesשֹׂ֣נְאֶ֔יךָso.ne.'Ei.khaH8130,and hatestוְלִשְׂנֹ֖אve.lis.No'H8130thy friendsאֹהֲבֶ֑יךָ'o.ha.Vei.khaH157.For thou hast declaredהִגַּ֣דְתָּhi.Gad.taH5046this dayH3117,that thou regardest neither princesשָׂרִ֣יםsa.RimH8269nor servantsH5650:for this dayH3117I perceiveיָדַ֣עְתִּיya.Da'.tiH3045,that ifל֣וּloH3863Absalomאַבְשָׁל֥וֹם'av.sha.LomH53had livedחַי֙chaiH2416,and all we had diedמֵתִ֔יםme.TimH4191this dayH3117,then it had pleased thee wellיָשָׁ֥ר בְּעֵינֶֽיךָ׃ya.Shar be.'ei.Nei.khaH5869 H3477.

7Now therefore ariseק֣וּםkumH6965,go forthצֵ֔אTze'H3318,and speakוְדַבֵּ֖רve.da.BerH1696comfortablyלֵ֣בlevH3820unto thy servantsH5650:for I swearנִשְׁבַּ֜עְתִּיnish.Ba'.tiH7650by the Lordבַיהוָ֨הba.Yah.wehH3068,if thou go not forthיוֹצֵ֗אyo.Tze'H3318,there will not tarryיָלִ֨יןya.LinH3885oneאִ֤ישׁ'ishH376with thee this nightהַלַּ֔יְלָהha.Lay.lahH3915:and that will be worseוְרָעָ֧הve.ra.'AhH7489unto thee than all the evilהָרָעָה֙ha.ra.'AhH7451that befellבָּ֣אָהBa.'ahH935thee from thy youthמִנְּעֻרֶ֖יךָmi.ne.'u.Rei.khaH5271until now.

8Then the kingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428aroseH6965,and satוַיֵּ֣שֶׁבvai.Ye.shevH3427in the gateבַּשָּׁ֑עַרba.Sha.'arH8179.And they toldהִגִּ֣ידוּhi.Gi.duH5046unto all the peopleהָעָ֞םha.'AmH5971,sayingלֵאמֹ֗רle.MorH559,Behold, the kingהַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ha.Me.lekhH4428doth sitיוֹשֵׁ֣בyo.ShevH3427in the gateבַּשַּׁ֔עַרba.Sha.'arH8179.And all the peopleהָעָם֙ha.'AmH5971cameH935beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440the kingהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428:for Israelוְיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לve.Yis.ra.'ElH3478had fledנָ֖סnasH5127every manH376to his tentלְאֹהָלָֽיו׃ סle.'o.ha.LavH168.

9And all the peopleH5971were at strifeנָד֔וֹןna.DonH1777throughout all the tribesשִׁבְטֵ֥יshiv.TeiH7626of IsraelH3478,sayingH559,The kingH4428savedהִצִּילָ֣נוּ׀hi.tzi.La.nuH5337us out of the handמִכַּ֣ףmi.KafH3709of our enemiesאֹיְבֵ֗ינוּ'o.ye.Vei.nuH341,and he deliveredמִלְּטָ֙נוּ֙mi.le.Ta.nuH4422us out of the handמִכַּ֣ףmi.KafH3709of the Philistinesפְּלִשְׁתִּ֔יםpe.lish.TimH6430;and now he is fledבָּרַ֥חba.RachH1272out of the landהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776for Absalomאַבְשָׁלֽוֹם׃'av.sha.LomH53.

10And AbsalomH53,whom we anointedמָשַׁ֣חְנוּma.Shach.nuH4886over us, is deadמֵ֖תmetH4191in battleבַּמִּלְחָמָ֑הba.mil.cha.MahH4421.Now therefore why speakמַחֲרִשִׁ֖יםma.cha.ri.ShimH2790ye not a word of bringingH7725the kingH4428backלְהָשִׁ֥יבle.ha.ShivH7725?

16And Shimeiשִׁמְעִ֤יshim.'IH8096the sonבֶן־ven-H1121of Geraגֵּרָא֙ge.Ra'H1617,a BenjamiteH1145, which wasof Bahurimמִבַּֽחוּרִ֑יםmi.ba.chu.RimH980,hastedוַיְמַהֵ֗רvay.ma.HerH4116and came downוַיֵּ֙רֶד֙vai.Ye.redH3381with the menאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376of JudahH3063to meetH7125kingH4428Davidדָּוִֽד׃da.VidH1732.
