1And afterאַֽחֲרֵי־'a.cha.rei-H310this it came to pass, that Davidדָּוִ֛דda.VidH1732smoteוַיַּ֥ךְvai.YakhH5221the Philistinesפְּלִשְׁתִּ֖יםpe.lish.TimH6430,and subduedוַיַּכְנִיעֵ֑םvai.yakh.ni.'EmH3665them: and Davidדָּוִ֛דda.VidH1732tookוַיִּקַּ֥חvai.yi.KachH3947Metheg–ammahH4965out of the handמִיַּ֥דmi.YadH3027of the Philistinesפְּלִשְׁתִּֽים׃pe.lish.TimH6430.

2And he smoteוַיַּ֣ךְvai.YakhH5221Moabמוֹאָ֗בmo.'AvH4124,and measuredוַֽיְמַדְּדֵ֤םvay.ma.de.DemH4058them with a lineבַּחֶ֙בֶל֙ba.Che.velH2256,casting them downהַשְׁכֵּ֣בhash.KevH7901to the groundאַ֔רְצָה'Ar.tzahH776;even with twoשְׁנֵֽי־she.nei-H8147linesחֲבָלִים֙cha.va.LimH2256measuredוַיְמַדֵּ֤דvay.ma.DedH4058he to put to deathלְהָמִ֔יתle.ha.MitH4191,and with one fullוּמְלֹ֥אu.me.Lo'H4393lineהַחֶ֖בֶלha.Che.velH2256to keep aliveלְהַחֲי֑וֹתle.ha.cha.YotH2421. And sothe Moabitesמוֹאָב֙mo.'AvH4124became David’sלְדָוִ֔דle.da.VidH1732servantsלַעֲבָדִ֖יםla.'a.va.DimH5650, andbroughtנֹשְׂאֵ֥יno.se.'EiH5375giftsמִנְחָֽה׃min.ChahH4503.

3Davidדָּוִ֔דda.VidH1732smoteוַיַּ֣ךְvai.YakhH5221also Hadadezerהֲדַדְעֶ֥זֶרha.dad.'E.zerH1909,the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Rehobרְחֹ֖בre.ChoH7340,kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Zobahצוֹבָ֑הtzo.VahH6678,as he wentH3212to recoverלְהָשִׁ֥יבle.ha.ShivH7725his borderיָד֖וֹya.DoH3027at the riverבִּֽנְהַר־פְּרָֽת׃bin.har-pe.RatH5104Euphratesבִּֽנְהַר־פְּרָֽת׃bin.har-pe.RatH6578.

4And Davidדָּוִ֜דda.VidH1732tookוַיִּלְכֹּ֨דvai.yil.KodH3920from him a thousandאֶ֤לֶף'E.lefH505chariots,and sevenוּשְׁבַע־u.she.va'-H7651hundredמֵאוֹת֙me.'OtH3967horsemenפָּרָשִׁ֔יםpa.ra.ShimH6571,and twentyוְעֶשְׂרִ֥יםve.'es.RimH6242thousandאֶ֖לֶף'E.lefH505footmenאִ֣ישׁ רַגְלִ֑י'ish rag.LiH7273 H376:and Davidדָּוִד֙da.VidH1732houghedוַיְעַקֵּ֤רvay.'a.KerH6131all the chariotהָרֶ֔כֶבha.Re.khevH7393horses,but reservedוַיּוֹתֵ֥רvai.yo.TerH3498of them foran hundredמֵ֥אָהMe.'ahH3967chariotsרָֽכֶב׃Ra.khevH7393.

5And when the Syriansאֲרַ֣ם'a.RamH758of Damascusדַּמֶּ֔שֶׂקda.Me.sekH1834cameוַתָּבֹא֙va.ta.Vo'H935to succourלַעְזֹ֕רla'.ZorH5826Hadadezerלַהֲדַדְעֶ֖זֶרla.ha.dad.'E.zerH1909kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Zobahצוֹבָ֑הtzo.VahH6678,Davidדָּוִד֙da.VidH1732slewוַיַּ֤ךְvai.YakhH5221of the Syriansבַּֽאֲרָ֔םba.'a.RamH758twoוּשְׁנַ֥יִםu.she.Na.yimH8147and twentyעֶשְׂרִֽים־'es.rim-H6242thousandאֶ֖לֶף'E.lefH505menאִֽישׁ׃'IshH376.

6Then Davidדָּוִ֤דda.VidH1732putוַיָּ֨שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760garrisonsנְצִבִים֙ne.tzi.VimH5333in Syriaבַּאֲרַ֣םba.'a.RamH758of Damascusדַּמֶּ֔שֶׂקda.Me.sekH1834:and the Syriansאֲרָם֙'a.RamH758became servantsלַעֲבָדִ֖יםla.'a.va.DimH5650to Davidלְדָוִ֔דle.da.VidH1732, andbroughtנוֹשְׂאֵ֣יnos.'EiH5375giftsמִנְחָ֑הmin.ChahH4503.And the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068preservedוַיֹּ֤שַׁעvai.Yo.sha'H3467Davidדָּוִ֔דda.VidH1732whithersoever he wentהָלָֽךְ׃ha.LakhH1980.

7And Davidדָּוִ֗דda.VidH1732tookוַיִּקַּ֣חvai.yi.KachH3947the shieldsשִׁלְטֵ֣יshil.TeiH7982of goldהַזָּהָ֔בha.za.HavH2091that were on the servantsעַבְדֵ֣י'av.DeiH5650of Hadadezerהֲדַדְעָ֑זֶרha.dad.'A.zerH1909,and broughtוַיְבִיאֵ֖םvay.vi.'EmH935them to Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ye.ru.sha.LimH3389.

8And from Betahוּמִבֶּ֥טַחu.mi.Be.tachH984,and from Berothaiוּמִבֵּֽרֹתַ֖יu.mi.be.ro.TaiH1268,citiesעָרֵ֣י'a.ReiH5892of Hadadezerהֲדַדְעָ֑זֶרha.dad.'A.zerH1909,kingהַמֶּ֧לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428Davidדָּוִ֛דda.VidH1732tookלָקַ֞חla.KachH3947exceedingמְאֹֽד׃ סme.'OdH3966muchהַרְבֵּ֥הhar.BehH7235brassנְחֹ֖שֶׁתne.Cho.shetH5178.

10Then Toiתֹּ֣עִיTo.'iH8583sentוַיִּשְׁלַ֣חvai.yish.LachH7971Joramיֽוֹרָם־yo.rom-H3141his sonבְּנ֣וֹbe.NoH1121unto kingהַמֶּֽלֶךְ־ha.Me.lekh-H4428Davidדָּ֠וִדDa.vidH1732,to saluteלִשְׁאָל־ לְשָׁל֜וֹםlish.'ol- le.sha.LomH7965 H7592him, and to blessוּֽלְבָרֲכ֗וֹu.le.va.ra.KhoH1288him, because he had foughtנִלְחַ֤םnil.ChamH3898against Hadadezerבַּהֲדַדְעֶ֙זֶר֙ba.ha.dad.'E.zerH1909,and smittenוַיַּכֵּ֔הוּvai.ya.Ke.huH5221him: for Hadadezerהֲדַדְעָ֑זֶרha.dad.'A.zerH1909had warsאִ֛ישׁ מִלְחֲמ֥וֹת'ish mil.cha.MotH4421 H376with Toiתֹּ֖עִיTo.'iH8583. 13And Davidדָּוִד֙da.VidH1732gatוַיַּ֤עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213hima nameשֵׁ֔םShemH8034when he returnedבְּשֻׁב֕וֹbe.shu.VoH7725from smitingמֵהַכּוֹת֥וֹme.ha.ko.ToH5221of the Syriansאֲרָ֖ם'a.RamH758in the valleyבְּגֵיא־be.gei'-H1516of saltמֶ֑לַחMe.lachH4417, beingeighteenשְׁמוֹנָ֥ה עָשָׂ֖רshe.mo.Nah 'a.SarH6240 H8083thousandאָֽלֶף׃'A.lefH505men.

15And Davidדָּוִ֖דda.VidH1732reignedוַיִּמְלֹ֥ךְvai.yim.LokhH4427over all Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478;and Davidדָוִ֗דda.VidH1732executedעֹשֶׂ֛ה'o.SehH6213judgmentמִשְׁפָּ֥טmish.PatH4941and justiceוּצְדָקָ֖הu.tze.da.KahH6666unto all his peopleעַמּֽוֹ׃a.MoH5971.
