2For the kingהַמֶּ֧לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428had taken counselוַיִּוָּעַ֨ץvai.yi.va.'AtzH3289,and his princesוְשָׂרָ֛יוve.sa.RavH8269,and all the congregationהַקָּהָ֖לha.ka.HalH6951in Jerusalemבִּירוּשָׁלִָ֑םbi.ru.sha.LimH3389,to keepלַעֲשׂ֥וֹתla.'a.SotH6213the passoverהַפֶּ֖סַחha.Pe.sachH6453in the secondהַשֵּׁנִֽי׃ha.she.NiH8145monthבַּחֹ֥דֶשׁba.Cho.deshH2320.
3For they couldיָכְל֛וּya.khe.LuH3201not keepלַעֲשֹׂת֖וֹla.'a.so.ToH6213it at that timeבָּעֵ֣תba.'EtH6256,because the priestsהַכֹּהֲנִים֙ha.ko.ha.NimH3548had not sanctifiedהִתְקַדְּשׁ֣וּhit.ka.de.ShuH6942themselves sufficientlyלְמַדַּ֔יle.ma.DaiH1767H4078,neither had the peopleוְהָעָ֖םve.ha.'AmH5971gathered themselves togetherנֶאֶסְפ֥וּne.'es.FuH622to Jerusalemלִֽירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃Li.ru.sha.LimH3389.

6So the postsהָרָצִ֨יםha.ra.TzimH7323wentH3212with the lettersבָּֽאִגְּר֜וֹתba.'i.ge.RotH107fromמִיַּ֧דmi.YadH3027the kingהַמֶּ֣לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428and his princesוְשָׂרָ֗יוve.sa.RavH8269throughout all Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478and Judahוִֽיהוּדָ֔הvi.hu.DahH3063,and according to the commandmentוּכְמִצְוַ֥תu.khe.mitz.VatH4687of the kingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559,Ye childrenבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478,turn againשׁ֚וּבוּShu.vuH7725unto the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהֵי֙'e.lo.HeiH430of Abrahamאַבְרָהָם֙'av.ra.HamH85,Isaacיִצְחָ֣קyitz.ChakH3327,and Israelוְיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לve.Yis.ra.'ElH3478,and he will returnוְיָשֹׁב֙ve.ya.ShoH7725to the remnantהַנִּשְׁאֶ֣רֶתha.nish.'E.retH7604of you, that are escapedהַפְּלֵיטָ֔הha.pe.lei.TahH6413out of the handמִכַּ֖ףmi.KafH3709of the kingsמַלְכֵ֥יmal.KheiH4428of Assyriaאַשּֽׁוּר׃'a.ShurH804.
7And be not ye like your fathersכַּאֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶם֙ka.'a.vo.tei.KhemH1,and like your brethrenוְכַ֣אֲחֵיכֶ֔םve.Kha.'a.chei.KhemH251,which trespassedמָעֲל֔וּma.'a.LuH4603against the Lordבַּיהוָ֖הba.Yah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of their fathersאֲבוֹתֵיהֶ֑ם'a.vo.tei.HemH1, whotherefore gave them upוַיִּתְּנֵ֣םvai.yi.te.NemH5414to desolationלְשַׁמָּ֔הle.sha.MahH8047,as ye seeרֹאִֽים׃ro.'ImH7200.
8Now be ye not stiffneckedתַּקְשׁ֥וּ עָרְפְּכֶ֖םtak.Shu 'a.re.pe.KhemH6203H7185,as your fathersכַּאֲבוֹתֵיכֶ֑םka.'a.vo.tei.KhemH1were, butyieldתְּנוּ־te.nu-H5414yourselvesיָ֣דyadH3027unto the Lordלַיהוָ֗הla.Yah.wehH3068,and enterוּבֹ֤אוּu.Vo.'uH935into his sanctuaryלְמִקְדָּשׁוֹ֙le.mik.da.ShoH4720,which he hath sanctifiedהִקְדִּ֣ישׁhik.DishH6942for everלְעוֹלָ֔םle.'o.LamH5769:and serveוְעִבְדוּ֙ve.'iv.DuH5647the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶ֔ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430,that the fiercenessחֲר֥וֹןcha.RonH2740of his wrathאַפּֽוֹ׃'a.PoH639may turn awayוְיָשֹׁ֥בve.ya.ShoH7725from you.
9For if ye turn againבְשׁוּבְכֶ֞םve.shu.ve.KhemH7725unto the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068,your brethrenאֲחֵיכֶ֨ם'a.chei.KhemH251and your childrenוּבְנֵיכֶ֤םu.ve.nei.KhemH1121shall findcompassionלְרַחֲמִים֙le.ra.cha.MimH7356beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440them that lead them captiveשֽׁוֹבֵיהֶ֔םshoei.HemH7617,so that they shall come againוְלָשׁ֖וּבve.la.ShuvH7725into this landלָאָ֣רֶץla.'A.retzH776:for the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶ֔ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430isgraciousחַנּ֤וּןcha.NunH2587and mercifulוְרַחוּם֙ve.ra.ChumH7349,and will not turn awayיָסִ֤ירya.SirH5493hisfaceפָּנִים֙pa.NimH6440from you, if ye returnתָּשׁ֖וּבוּta.Shu.vuH7725unto him.
10So the postsהָרָצִ֜יםha.ra.TzimH7323passedעֹבְרִ֨ים'oe.RimH5674from cityמֵעִ֧יר׀me.'IrH5892to cityלָעִ֛ירla.'IrH5892through the countryבְּאֶֽרֶץ־be.'e.retz-H776of Ephraimאֶפְרַ֥יִם'ef.Ra.yimH669and Manassehוּמְנַשֶּׁ֖הu.me.na.ShehH4519even unto Zebulunזְבֻל֑וּןze.vu.LunH2074:but they laughed them to scornמַשְׂחִיקִ֣יםmas.chi.KimH7832,and mockedוּמַלְעִגִ֖יםu.mal.'i.GimH3932them.
12Also in Judahבִּיהוּדָ֗הbi.hu.DahH3063the handיַ֣דyadH3027of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֔יםha.'E.lo.HimH430was to giveלָתֵ֥תla.TetH5414them oneאֶחָ֑ד'e.ChadH259heartלֵ֣בlevH3820to doלַעֲשׂ֞וֹתla.'a.SotH6213the commandmentמִצְוַ֥תmitz.VatH4687of the kingהַמֶּ֛לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428and of the princesוְהַשָּׂרִ֖יםve.ha.sa.RimH8269,by the wordבִּדְבַ֥רbid.VarH1697of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.
13And there assembledוַיֵּֽאָסְפ֤וּvai.ye.'a.se.FuH622at Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ye.ru.sha.LimH3389muchרָ֔בRavH7227peopleעַם־'am-H5971to keepלַעֲשׂ֛וֹתla.'a.SotH6213the feastחַ֥גchagH2282of unleavened breadהַמַּצּ֖וֹתha.ma.TzotH4682in the secondהַשֵּׁנִ֑יha.she.NiH8145monthבַּחֹ֣דֶשׁba.Cho.deshH2320,a veryמְאֹֽד׃me.'OdH3966greatלָרֹ֥בla.RoH7230congregationקָהָ֖לka.HalH6951.
14And they aroseוַיָּקֻ֕מוּvai.ya.Ku.muH6965and took awayוַיָּסִ֙ירוּ֙vai.ya.Si.ruH5493the altarsהַֽמִּזְבְּח֔וֹתha.miz.be.ChotH4196that werein Jerusalemבִּירוּשָׁלִָ֑םbi.ru.sha.LimH3389,and all the altars for incenseהַֽמְקַטְּרוֹת֙ham.ka.te.rOtH6999took they awayהֵסִ֔ירוּhe.Si.ruH5493,and castוַיַּשְׁלִ֖יכוּvai.yash.Li.khuH7993theminto the brookלְנַ֥חַלle.Na.chalH5158Kidronקִדְרֽוֹן׃kid.RonH6939.
15Then they killedוַיִּשְׁחֲט֣וּvai.yish.cha.TuH7819the passoverהַפֶּ֔סַחha.Pe.sachH6453on the fourteenthבְּאַרְבָּעָ֥ה עָשָׂ֖רbe.'ar.ba.'Ah 'a.SarH6240H702dayof the secondהַשֵּׁנִ֑יha.she.NiH8145monthלַחֹ֣דֶשׁla.Cho.deshH2320:and the priestsוְהַכֹּהֲנִ֨יםve.ha.ko.ha.NimH3548and the Levitesוְהַלְוִיִּ֤םve.hal.vi.YimH3881were ashamedנִכְלְמוּ֙nikh.le.MuH3637,and sanctifiedוַיִּֽתְקַדְּשׁ֔וּvai.yit.ka.de.ShuH6942themselves, and brought inוַיָּבִ֥יאוּvai.ya.Vi.'uH935the burnt offeringsעֹל֖וֹתo.LotH5930into the houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.
