Context of Galatians 3:26
24Before Christ came, Moses’ laws served as our guardian. Christ came so that we could receive God’s approval by faith. 25But now that this faith has come, we are no longer under the control of a guardian. You are all God’s children by believing in Christ Jesus. 27Clearly, all of you who were baptized in Christ’s name have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28There are neither Jews nor Greeks, slaves nor free people, males nor females. You are all the same in Christ Jesus.

The idea here is, that they are no longer under tutors and governors; they are no longer subject to the direction and will of the “paedagogus”; they are arrived at age, and are admitted to the privileges of sons; see the note at Galatians 4:1. The language here is derived from the fact, that until the son…Read the comment

They have received a part of that inheritance (3:14; Ephesians 1:14). The Galatians acted unwisely by trying to gain access to God through circumcision (Galatians 3:1).
