Ecclesiastes 11
Cast Your Bread upon the Waters
1CastH7971 your breadH3899 uponH5921H6440 the watersH4325, forH3588 after manyH7230 daysH3117 you will find itH4672 again.2DivideH5414 your portionH2506 among sevenH7651, or evenH1571 eightH8083, forH3588 you do notH3808 knowH3045 whatH4100 disasterH7451 may befallH1961H5921 the landH776.
3IfH518 the cloudsH5645 are fullH4390,they will pour outH7324 rainH1653 uponH5921 the earthH776;whetherH518 a treeH6086 fallsH5307 to the southH1864 orH518 to the northH6828,in the placeH4725 whereH6086 it fallsH5307, thereH8033 it will lieH1933.4He who watchesH8104 the windH7307 will failH3808 to sowH2232,and he who observesH7200 the cloudsH5645 will failH3808 to reapH7114.
5AsH834 you do notH369 knowH3045H4100 the pathH1870 of the windH7307,or how the bonesH6106 are formed1 in a mother’sH4392 wombH990,soH3602 you cannotH3808 understandH3045 the workH4639 of GodH430,the MakerH834H6213 of all thingsH3605.
Enjoy Your Years
6SowH2232 your seedH2233 in the morningH1242, and do notH408 restH5117 your handsH3027 in the eveningH6153, forH3588 you do notH369 knowH3045 whichH335H2088 will succeedH3787, whether thisH2088 orH176 thatH2088, or ifH518 bothH8147 will equallyH259 prosperH2896.
7LightH216 is sweetH4966,and it pleasesH2896 the eyesH5869 to seeH7200 the sunH8121.8SoH3588 ifH518 a manH120 livesH2421 manyH7235 yearsH8141,let him rejoiceH8055 in them allH3605.But let him rememberH2142 the daysH3117 of darknessH2822,forH3588 they will beH1961 manyH7235.EverythingH3605 to comeH935 is futileH1892.
9RejoiceH8055, O young manH970, while you are youngH3208,and let your heartH3820 be gladH3190 in the daysH3117 of your youthH979.WalkH1980 in the waysH1870 of your heartH3820and in the sightH4758 of your eyesH5869,but knowH3045 thatH3588 forH5921 allH3605 theseH428 thingsGodH430 will bring youH935 to judgmentH4941.10So banishH5493 sorrowH3708 from your heartH3820,and cast offH5674 painH7451 from your bodyH1320,forH3588 youthH3208 and vigorH7839 are fleetingH1892.2
