Numbers 20:2-13

2And there was noH3808 waterH4325 for the congregationH5712: and they assembledH6950 themselvesH5921 togetherH5921 againstH5921 MosesH4872 and againstH5921 AaronH175.

3And the peopleH5971 strove with MosesH4872, and spake, sayingH559, Would GodH3068 that weH1478 had diedH1478 when our brethrenH251 diedH1478 beforeH6440 the LORDH3068!

4And whyH4100 have ye broughtH935 the assemblyH6951 of the LORDH3068 intoH413 this wildernessH4057, that weH587 should dieH4191 there, weH587 and our cattleH1165?

5And wherefore have ye madeH5927 usH413 to comeH935 upH5927 outH4100 of EgyptH4714, to bringH935 usH413 in unto this evilH7451 placeH4725? it is noH3808 placeH4725 of seedH2233, or of figsH8384, or of vinesH1612, or of pomegranatesH7416; neitherH3808 is there anyH369 waterH4325 to drinkH8354.

6And MosesH4872 and AaronH175 wentH935 from the presenceH6440 of the assemblyH6951 unto the doorH6607 of the tentH168 of meetingH4150, and fellH5307 uponH5921 their facesH6440: and the gloryH3519 of the LORDH3068 appearedH7200 unto them.

7And the LORDH3068 spake unto MosesH4872, sayingH559,

8TakeH3947 the rodH4294, and assembleH6950 the congregationH5712, thou, and AaronH175 thy brotherH251, and speakH1696 ye unto the rockH5553 beforeH5869 their eyesH5869, that it giveH5414 forthH3318 itsH5414 waterH4325; and thou shalt bringH3318 forthH3318 to them waterH4325 outH3318 of the rockH5553: soH4480 thou shalt giveH5414 the congregationH5712 and their cattleH1165 drinkH8248.

9And MosesH4872 tookH3947 the rodH4294 from beforeH6440 the LORDH3068, as he commandedH6680 him.

10And MosesH4872 and AaronH175 gatheredH6950 the assemblyH6951 togetherH6950 beforeH6440 the rockH5553, and he saidH559 unto them, HearH8085 nowH4994, ye rebelsH4784; shall weH8085 bringH3318 youH6440 forthH3318 waterH4325 outH3318 of this rockH5553?

11And MosesH4872 liftedH7311 upH7311 his handH3027, and smoteH5221 the rockH5553 with his rodH4294 twiceH6471: and waterH4325 cameH3318 forthH3318 abundantlyH7227, and the congregationH5712 drankH8354, and their cattleH1165.

12And the LORDH3068 saidH559 unto MosesH4872 and AaronH175, BecauseH3282 ye believedH539 notH3808 in meH413, to sanctifyH6942 meH413 in the eyesH5869 of the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, therefore ye shall notH3808 bringH935 this assemblyH6951 intoH413 the landH776 whichH834 I have givenH5414 them.

13TheseH1992 are the watersH4325 of MeribahH4809; becauseH834 the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 strove with the LORDH3068, and he was sanctifiedH6942 in them.
