Judges 11:7-19
And JephthahH3316 saidH559 unto the eldersH2205 of GileadH1568, DidH834 notH3808 ye hateH8130 meH413, and driveH1644 meH413 outH1644 of my father’sH1 houseH1004? and whyH4069 are ye comeH935 unto meH413 nowH6258 when ye are in distressH6862?
And the eldersH2205 of GileadH1568 saidH559 unto JephthahH3316, Therefore are weH6258 turnedH7725 againH7725 to thee nowH6258, that thou mayest goH1980 with usH413, and fightH3898 with the childrenH1121 of AmmonH5983, and thou shalt be our headH7218 over allH3605 the inhabitantsH3427 of GileadH1568.
And JephthahH3316 saidH559 unto the eldersH2205 of GileadH1568, IfH518 ye bringH7725 meH413 homeH7725 againH7725 to fightH3898 with the childrenH1121 of AmmonH5983, and the LORDH3068 deliverH5414 them beforeH6440 meH413, shall I be your headH7218?
And the eldersH2205 of GileadH1568 saidH559 unto JephthahH3316, The LORDH3068 shall be witnessH8085 betweenH996 usH413; surelyH518 accordingH413 to thy wordH1697 soH3651 will weH518 doH6213.
Then JephthahH3316 wentH6440 with the eldersH2205 of GileadH1568, and the peopleH5971 madeH7760 him headH7218 and chiefH7218 over them: and JephthahH3316 spake allH3605 his wordsH1697 beforeH6440 the LORDH3068 in MizpahH4709.
And JephthahH3316 sentH7971 messengersH4397 unto the kingH4428 of the childrenH1121 of AmmonH5983, sayingH559, WhatH4100 hast thou to doH4100 with meH413, that thou art comeH935 unto meH413 to fightH3898 againstH413 my landH776?
And the kingH4428 of the childrenH1121 of AmmonH5983 answeredH559 unto the messengersH4397 of JephthahH3316, BecauseH3588 IsraelH3478 tookH3947 awayH7725 my landH776, when he cameH5927 upH5927 outH413 of EgyptH4714, from ArnonH769 evenH5704 unto JabbokH2999, and unto JordanH3383: nowH6258 therefore restoreH7725 thoseH1121 landsH776 againH7725 peaceablyH7965.
And JephthahH3316 sentH7971 messengersH4397 againH5750 unto the kingH4428 of the childrenH1121 of AmmonH5983:
and he saidH559 unto him, ThusH3541 saith JephthahH3316: IsraelH3478 tookH3947 notH3808 awayH3947 the landH776 of MoabH4124, norH3808 the landH776 of the childrenH1121 of AmmonH5983:
but when they cameH935 upH5927 from EgyptH4714, and IsraelH3478 walked throughH935 the wildernessH4057 unto the Red SeaH3220, and cameH935 to KadeshH6946;
then IsraelH3478 sentH7971 messengersH4397 unto the kingH4428 of EdomH123, sayingH559, LetH7971 meH413, I prayH4994 thee, passH5674 throughH5674 thy landH776: but the kingH4428 of EdomH123 hearkened notH3808. And in like manner he sentH7971 unto the kingH4428 of MoabH4124: but he would notH3808: and IsraelH3478 abodeH3427 in KadeshH6946.
Then he walked throughH935 the wildernessH4057, and compassed the landH776 of EdomH123, and the landH776 of MoabH4124, and cameH935 by the eastH4217 sideH5676 of the landH776 of MoabH4124, and they pitchedH2583 on the otherH5676 sideH5676 of ArnonH769; but they cameH935 notH3808 withinH935 the borderH1366 of MoabH4124, for ArnonH769 was the borderH1366 of MoabH4124.
And IsraelH3478 sentH7971 messengersH4397 unto SihonH5511 kingH4428 of the AmoritesH567, the kingH4428 of HeshbonH2809; and IsraelH3478 saidH559 unto him, LetH7971 usH4994 passH5674, weH5704 prayH4994 thee, throughH5674 thy landH776 unto my placeH4725.
