Judges 1:3-17

4And JudahH3063 wentH5927 upH5927; and the LORDH3068 deliveredH5414 the CanaanitesH3669 and the PerizzitesH6522 intoH376 their handH3027: and they smoteH5221 of them in BezekH966 tenH6235 thousandH505 menH376.

5And they foundH4672 Adoni-bezekH137 in BezekH966: and they foughtH3898 againstH3898 him, and they smoteH5221 the CanaanitesH3669 and the PerizzitesH6522.

6But Adoni-bezekH137 fledH5127; and they pursuedH7291 afterH310 him, and caughtH270 him, and cutH7112 offH7112 his thumbsH931 and his great toesH931.

7And Adoni-bezekH137 saidH559, Threescore and ten kingsH4428, havingH1961 their thumbsH931 and their greatH430 toesH931 cutH7112 offH7112, gatheredH3950 their meat underH8478 my tableH7979: as I have doneH6213, soH3651 GodH430 hath requited meH935. And they broughtH935 him to JerusalemH3389, and he diedH4191 there.

8And the childrenH1121 of JudahH3063 foughtH3898 againstH3898 JerusalemH3389, and tookH3920 it, and smoteH5221 it with the edgeH6310 of the swordH2719, and setH7971 the cityH5892 on fireH784.

9And afterwardH310 the childrenH1121 of JudahH3063 wentH3381 downH3381 to fightH3898 againstH3898 the CanaanitesH3669 that dweltH3427 in the hillH2022 countryH2022, and in the SouthH5045, and in the lowlandH8219.

10And JudahH3063 wentH413 againstH413 the CanaanitesH3669 that dweltH3427 in HebronH2275: (now the nameH8034 of HebronH2275 beforetime was Kiriath-arbaH7153:) and they smoteH5221 SheshaiH8344, and AhimanH289, and TalmaiH8526.

11And from thence he wentH413 againstH413 the inhabitantsH3427 of DebirH1688. (Now the nameH8034 of DebirH1688 beforetime was Kiriath-sepherH7158.)

12And CalebH3612 saidH559, He that smiteth Kiriath-sepherH7158, and taketh it, to him will I giveH5414 AchsahH5915 my daughterH1323 to wifeH802.

13And OthnielH6274 the sonH1121 of KenazH7073, Caleb’sH3612 youngerH6996 brotherH251, tookH3920 it: and he gaveH5414 him AchsahH5915 his daughterH1323 to wifeH802.

14And it cameH935 to passH935, when sheH4100 cameH935 unto him, that sheH4100 movedH935 him to askH7592 of herH5921 fatherH1 a fieldH7704: and sheH4100 lighted downH5921 from offH5921 herH5921 ass; and CalebH3612 saidH559 unto herH5921, WhatH4100 wouldest thou?

16And the childrenH1121 of the KeniteH7017, Moses’H4872 brother in law, wentH5927 upH5927 outH3427 of the cityH5892 of palmH8558 treesH8558 with the childrenH1121 of JudahH3063 intoH5927 the wildernessH4057 of JudahH3063, whichH834 is in the southH5045 of AradH6166; and they wentH5927 and dweltH3427 with the peopleH5971.

17And JudahH3063 went with SimeonH8095 his brotherH251, and they smoteH5221 the CanaanitesH3669 that inhabitedH3427 ZephathH6857, and utterly destroyedH5221 it. And the nameH8034 of the cityH5892 was calledH7121 HormahH2767.
