2 Samuel 7:13-29
13He shall buildH1129 an houseH1004 for my nameH8034, and I will establishH3559 the throneH3678 of his kingdomH4467 for everH5769. 14I will be his fatherH1, and he shall be my sonH1121: ifH834 he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rodH7626 of menH376, and with the stripesH5061 of the childrenH1121 of menH376; 15but my mercy shall notH3808 departH5493 from him, as I tookH5493 it from SaulH7586, whomH834 I putH5493 awayH5493 beforeH6440 thee. 16And thine houseH1004 and thy kingdomH4467 shall be madeH3559 sureH539 for everH5769 beforeH6440 thee: thy throneH3678 shall be establishedH3559 for everH5769. 17AccordingH413 to allH3605 theseH428 wordsH1697, and accordingH413 to allH3605 this visionH2384, soH3651 didH3651 NathanH5416 speakH1696 unto DavidH1732. 18Then DavidH1732 the kingH4428 wentH935 in, and satH3427 beforeH6440 the LORDH3068; and he saidH559, Who am I, O LordH3068 GODH3068, and whatH4310 is my houseH1004, that thou hast broughtH935 meH6440 thus farH5704? 19And this was yet a smallH6994 thingH2063 in thine eyesH5869, O LordH136 GODH136; but thou hast spokenH1696 also of thy servant’sH5650 houseH1004 for a greatH7350 whileH5750 to comeH7350; and this tooH1571 afterH413 the manner of menH120, O LordH136 GODH136! 20And whatH4100 canH4100 DavidH1732 sayH1696 moreH5750 unto thee? for thou knowest thy servantH5650, O LordH136 GODH136. 21For thy word’s sakeH5668, and according to thine own heartH3820, hast thou wrought allH3605 this greatnessH1420, to makeH6213 thy servantH5650 knowH3045 it. 22Wherefore thou art greatH1431, O LORDH136 GodH430: for there is noneH369 like thee, neitherH369 is there anyH3605 GodH430 besideH5921 thee, accordingH5921 to allH3605 that weH3588 have heardH8085 with our earsH241. 23And whatH834 one nationH1471 in the earthH776 is like thy peopleH5971, evenH6213 like IsraelH3478, whomH834 GodH430 wentH1980 to redeemH6299 unto himselfH6440 for a peopleH5971, and to makeH7760 him a nameH8034, and to doH6213 greatH1420 things for youH834, and terrible things for thy landH776, beforeH6440 thy peopleH5971, whichH834 thou redeemedst to thee outH6440 of EgyptH4714, from the nationsH1471 and their godsH430? 24And thou didst establishH3559 to thyself thy peopleH5971 IsraelH3478 to be a peopleH5971 unto thee for everH5769; and thou, LORDH3068, becamest their GodH430. 25And nowH6258, O LORDH3068 GodH430, the wordH1697 that thou hast spokenH1696 concerning thy servantH5650, and concerning his houseH1004, confirmH6965 thou it for everH5769, and doH6213 as thou hast spokenH1696. 26And letH1961 thy nameH8034 be magnifiedH1431 for everH5769, sayingH559, The LORDH3068 of hostsH6635 is GodH430 over IsraelH3478: and the houseH1004 of thy servantH5650 DavidH1732 shall be establishedH3559 beforeH6440 thee. 27For thou, O LORDH3068 of hostsH6635, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478, hast revealedH1540 to thy servantH5650, sayingH559, I will buildH1129 thee an houseH1004: therefore hath thy servantH5650 foundH4672 in his heartH3820 to prayH6419 this prayerH8605 unto thee. 28And nowH6258, O LordH136 GODH430, thou art GodH430, and thy wordsH1697 are truthH571, and thou hast promisedH1696 this goodH2896 thingH1697 unto thy servantH5650: 29nowH6258 therefore letH6258 it pleaseH2974 thee to blessH1288 the houseH1004 of thy servantH5650, that it may continueH1961 for everH5769 beforeH6440 thee: for thou, O LordH136 GODH136, hast spokenH1696 it: and with thy blessingH1293 letH6258 the houseH1004 of thy servantH5650 be blessedH1288 for everH5769.
