24And, loH2009, ZadokH6659 also cameH5927, and allH3605 the LevitesH3881 with him, bearingH5375 the arkH727 of the covenantH1285 of GodH430; and they setH3332 downH3332 the arkH727 of GodH430, and AbiatharH54 wentH5927 upH5927, untilH5704 allH3605 the peopleH5971 had doneH3605 passingH5674 outH4480 of the cityH5892. 25And the kingH4428 saidH559 unto ZadokH6659, Carry backH7725 the arkH727 of GodH430 intoH7725 the cityH5892: ifH518 I shall findH4672 favour in the eyesH5869 of the LORDH3068, he will bringH7725 meH7725 againH7725, and shew meH7725 both it, and his habitation: 26but ifH518 he sayH559 thusH3541, I have noH3808 delightH2654 in thee; beholdH2005, hereH3541 am I, letH3808 him doH6213 to meH3808 as seemeth goodH2896 unto him. 27The kingH4428 saidH559 also unto ZadokH6659 the priestH3548, Art thou notH1121 a seer? returnH7725 intoH413 the cityH5892 in peaceH7965, and your twoH8147 sonsH1121 with youH859, AhimaazH290 thy sonH1121, and JonathanH3083 the sonH1121 of AbiatharH54. 28SeeH7200, I will tarry at the fordsH5679 of the wildernessH4057, untilH5704 there comeH935 wordH1697 from youH5704 to certify meH5046. 29ZadokH6659 therefore and AbiatharH54 carried the arkH727 of GodH430 againH7725 to JerusalemH3389: and they abodeH3427 there. 30And DavidH1732 wentH1980 upH5927 by the ascentH4608 of the mountH5927 of OlivesH2132, and weptH1058 as he wentH1980 upH5927; and he had his headH7218 coveredH2645, and wentH1980 barefootH3182: and allH3605 the peopleH5971 that were with him coveredH2645 everyH3605 manH376 his headH7218, and they wentH1980 upH5927, weepingH1058 as they wentH1980 upH5927. 31And one toldH5046 DavidH1732, sayingH559, AhithophelH302 is among the conspiratorsH7194 with AbsalomH53. And DavidH1732 saidH559, O LORDH3068, I prayH4994 thee, turn the counselH6098 of AhithophelH302 into foolishnessH5528. 32And it cameH935 to passH935, that when DavidH1732 was comeH935 to the topH7218 of the ascent, whereH834 GodH430 was worshipped, beholdH2009, HushaiH2365 the ArchiteH757 cameH935 to meetH7125 him with his coatH3801 rent, and earthH127 uponH5921 his headH7218: 33And DavidH1732 saidH559 unto him, IfH518 thou passest on with meH5921, then thou shalt be a burdenH4853 unto meH5921: 34but ifH518 thou returnH7725 to the cityH5892, and sayH559 unto AbsalomH53, I will be thy servantH5650, O kingH4428; as I have been thy father’sH1 servantH5650 in time past, soH1961 will I nowH6258 be thy servantH5650: then shalt thou defeat for meH7725 the counselH6098 of AhithophelH302. 35And hast thou notH3808 there with thee ZadokH6659 and AbiatharH54 the priestsH3548? therefore it shall be, that whatH834 thingH1697 soever thou shalt hearH8085 outH3605 of the king’sH4428 houseH1004, thou shalt tellH5046 it to ZadokH6659 and AbiatharH54 the priestsH3548. 36BeholdH2009, they have there with them their twoH8147 sonsH1121, AhimaazH290 Zadok’sH6659 sonH1121, and JonathanH3083 Abiathar’sH54 sonH1121; and by them ye shall sendH7971 unto meH413 everyH3605 thingH1697 that ye shall hearH8085. 37SoH935 HushaiH2365 David’sH1732 friendH7463 cameH935 intoH935 the cityH5892; and AbsalomH53 cameH935 intoH935 JerusalemH3389.
