Revised Version 1895
Samuel 12:19-23
But when DavidH1732 sawH7200 that his servantsH5650 whispered together, DavidH1732 perceivedH7200 that the childH3206 was deadH4191: and DavidH1732 saidH559 unto his servantsH5650, Is the childH3206 deadH4191? And they saidH559, He is deadH4191.
Then DavidH1732 aroseH6965 from the earthH776, and washedH7364, and anointed himselfH7812, and changedH2498 his apparel; and he cameH935 intoH413 the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, and worshipped: then he cameH935 to his own houseH1004; and when he requiredH7760 they setH7760 breadH3899 beforeH413 him, and he didH7812 eatH398.
Then saidH559 his servantsH5650 unto him, WhatH4100 thingH1697 is this that thou hast doneH6213? thou didst fastH6684 and weepH1058 for the childH3206, whileH834 it was aliveH2416; but when the childH3206 was deadH4191, thou didst riseH6965 and eatH398 breadH3899.
And he saidH559, WhileH5750 the childH3206 was yet aliveH2416, I fastedH6684 and weptH1058: for I saidH559, Who knoweth whether the LORDH3068 will notH3588 be gracious to meH2603, that the childH3206 may liveH2416?
But nowH6258 he is deadH4191, wherefore should I fastH6684? canH3201 I bringH7725 him backH7725 againH5750? I shall goH1980 to him, but he shall notH3808 returnH7725 to meH413.
