Kings 14:2-18
And JeroboamH3379 saidH559 to his wifeH802, AriseH6965, I prayH4994 thee, and disguise thyself, that thou be notH3808 knownH3045 to be the wifeH802 of JeroboamH3379: and getH6965 thee to ShilohH7887; beholdH2009, there is AhijahH281 the prophetH5030, whichH1931 spake concerning meH4994 that I should be kingH4428 over this peopleH5971.
And takeH3947 with thee tenH6235 loavesH3899, and cracknels, and a cruse of honeyH1706, and goH935 to him: he shall tellH5046 thee whatH4100 shall becomeH1961 of the childH5288.
And Jeroboam’sH3379 wifeH802 didH6213 soH3651, and aroseH6965, and wentH935 to ShilohH7887, and cameH935 to the houseH1004 of AhijahH281. NowH3588 AhijahH281 couldH3201 notH3808 seeH7200; for his eyesH5869 were setH6965 by reasonH3651 of his ageH935.
And the LORDH3068 saidH559 unto AhijahH281, BeholdH2009, the wifeH802 of JeroboamH3379 cometh to inquireH1875 of thee concerning herH413 sonH1121; for he is sickH2470: thusH2088 and thusH2088 shalt thou sayH559 unto herH413: for it shall be, when sheH1931 cometh in, that sheH1931 shall feign herselfH1931 to be anotherH2088 womanH802.
And it was soH7971, when AhijahH281 heardH8085 the soundH6963 of herH413 feetH7272, as sheH4100 cameH935 in at the doorH6607, that he saidH559, ComeH935 in, thou wifeH802 of JeroboamH3379; whyH4100 feignest thou thyself to be anotherH2088? for I am sentH7971 to thee with heavy tidings.
Go, tellH559 JeroboamH3379, ThusH3541 saith the LORDH3068, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478: Forasmuch as I exaltedH7311 thee from among the peopleH5971, and madeH5414 thee princeH5057 over my peopleH5971 IsraelH3478,
and rent the kingdomH4467 awayH1980 from the houseH1004 of DavidH1732, and gaveH5414 it thee: and yet thou hast notH3808 been as my servantH5650 DavidH1732, who keptH8104 my commandmentsH4687, and who followedH310 meH5414 with allH3605 his heartH3824, to doH6213 that onlyH7535 whichH834 was rightH3477 in mine eyesH5869;
but hast doneH6213 evilH7489 aboveH6440 allH3605 that were beforeH6440 thee, and hast goneH1961 and madeH6213 thee otherH312 godsH430, and molten imagesH4541, to provokeH3707 meH6440 to angerH3707, and hast castH7993 meH6440 behindH310 thy backH310:
therefore, beholdH2005, I will bringH935 evilH7451 uponH935 the houseH1004 of JeroboamH3379, and will cutH3772 offH3772 from JeroboamH3379 everyH8366 man child, him that is shutH6113 upH5704 and him that is leftH5800 at largeH1004 in IsraelH3478, and will utterlyH8552 sweep awayH310 the houseH1004 of JeroboamH3379, as a man sweepeth awayH310 dungH1557, tillH5704 it be allH5704 goneH935.
Him that dieth of JeroboamH3379 in the cityH5892 shall the dogsH3611 eatH398; and him that dieth in the fieldH7704 shall the fowls of the air eatH398: for the LORDH3068 hath spokenH1696 it.
AriseH6965 thou therefore, getH6965 thee to thine houseH1004: and when thy feetH7272 enterH935 intoH935 the cityH5892, the childH3206 shall dieH4191.
And allH3605 IsraelH3478 shall mournH5594 for him, and buryH6912 him; for he onlyH905 of JeroboamH3379 shall comeH935 to the graveH6913: becauseH3588 in him there is foundH4672 someH3605 goodH2896 thingH1697 towardH413 the LORDH3068, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478, in the houseH1004 of JeroboamH3379.
MoreoverH1571 the LORDH3068 shall raiseH6965 him upH6965 a kingH4428 over IsraelH3478, who shall cutH3772 offH3772 the houseH1004 of JeroboamH3379 that dayH3117: but whatH4100? evenH1571 nowH6258. n
For the LORDH3068 shall smiteH5221 IsraelH3478, as a reedH7070 is shakenH5110 in the waterH4325; and he shall rootH5428 upH5921 IsraelH3478 outH5921 of this goodH2896 landH127, whichH834 he gaveH5414 to their fathersH1, and shall scatterH2219 them beyondH5676 the RiverH5104; becauseH5921 they have madeH6213 their AsherimH842, provokingH3707 the LORDH3068 to angerH3707.
And he shall giveH5414 IsraelH3478 upH5414 becauseH834 of the sinsH2398 of JeroboamH3379, whichH834 he hath sinnedH2398, and wherewith he hath madeH5414 IsraelH3478 to sinH2398.
And Jeroboam’sH3379 wifeH802 aroseH6965, and departedH935, and cameH935 to TirzahH8656: and as sheH1931 cameH935 to the threshold of the houseH1004, the childH5288 diedH4191.
And allH3605 IsraelH3478 buriedH6912 him, and mournedH5594 for him; accordingH3027 to the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068, whichH834 he spake by the handH3027 of his servantH5650 AhijahH281 the prophetH5030.
