Revised Version 1895
Kings 1:32-45
And kingH4428 DavidH1732 saidH559, CallH7121 meH6440 ZadokH6659 the priestH3548, and NathanH5416 the prophetH5030, and BenaiahH1141 the sonH1121 of JehoiadaH3077. And they cameH935 beforeH6440 the kingH4428.
And the kingH4428, saidH559 unto them, TakeH3947 with youH834 the servantsH5650 of your lordH113, and causeH7392 SolomonH8010 my sonH1121 to rideH7392 uponH5921 mineH5973 ownH5973 mute, and bringH3381 him downH3381 to GihonH1521:
and let ZadokH6659 the priestH3548 and NathanH5416 the prophetH5030 anointH4886 him there kingH4428 over IsraelH3478: and blowH8628 ye with the trumpetH7782, and sayH559, GodH559 save kingH4428 SolomonH8010.
Then ye shall comeH935 upH5927 afterH310 him, and he shall comeH935 and sitH3427 uponH5921 my throneH3678; for he shall be kingH4427 in my steadH8478: and I have appointedH6680 him to be princeH5057 over IsraelH3478 and over JudahH3063.
And BenaiahH1141 the sonH1121 of JehoiadaH3077 answeredH559 the kingH4428, and saidH559, AmenH543: the LORDH3068, the GodH430 of my lordH3068 the kingH4428, sayH559 soH3651 too.
As the LORDH3068 hath been with my lordH3068 the kingH4428, evenH3651 soH3651 be he with SolomonH8010, and makeH1431 his throneH3678 greaterH1431 thanH4428 the throneH3678 of my lordH3068 kingH4428 DavidH1732.
SoH3381 ZadokH6659 the priestH3548, and NathanH5416 the prophetH5030, and BenaiahH1141 the sonH1121 of JehoiadaH3077, and the Cherethites and the PelethitesH6432, wentH3381 downH3381, and caused SolomonH8010 to rideH7392 uponH5921 kingH4428 David’sH1732 muleH6506, and broughtH3381 him to GihonH1521.
And ZadokH6659 the priestH3548 tookH3947 the hornH7161 of oilH8081 outH4480 of the TentH168, and anointedH4886 SolomonH8010. And they blewH8628 the trumpetH7782; and allH3605 the peopleH5971 saidH559, GodH559 save kingH4428 SolomonH8010.
And allH3605 the peopleH5971 cameH5927 upH5927 afterH310 him, and the peopleH5971 piped with pipes, and rejoicedH8056 with greatH1419 joyH8057, soH5927 that the earthH776 rent with the soundH6963 of them.
And AdonijahH138 and allH3605 the guestsH7121 that were with him heardH8085 it as they had madeH7121 an endH3615 of eatingH398. And when JoabH3097 heardH8085 the soundH6963 of the trumpetH7782, he saidH559, Wherefore is this noiseH6963 of the cityH7151 being in an uproarH1993?
WhileH5750 he yet spake, beholdH2009, JonathanH3129 the sonH1121 of AbiatharH54 the priestH3548 cameH935: and AdonijahH138 saidH559, ComeH935 in; for thou art a worthyH2428 manH376, and bringest goodH2896 tidingsH1319.
And JonathanH3129 answeredH559 and saidH559 to AdonijahH138, Verily our lordH113 kingH4428 DavidH1732 hath made SolomonH8010 kingH4428:
and the kingH4428 hath sentH7971 with him ZadokH6659 the priestH3548, and NathanH5416 the prophetH5030, and BenaiahH1141 the sonH1121 of JehoiadaH3077, and the CherethitesH3774 and the PelethitesH6432, and they have causedH854 him to rideH7392 uponH5921 the king’sH4428 muleH6506:
and ZadokH6659 the priestH3548 and NathanH5416 the prophetH5030 have anointedH4886 him kingH4428 in GihonH1521: and they are comeH5927 upH5927 from thence rejoicingH8056, soH5927 that the cityH7151 rang again. This is the noiseH6963 that ye have heardH8085.
