Context of Luke 19:9
7And when the people saw it, they all complained, “He has gone in to be the guest of a man who is a sinner.” 8But Zacchaeus stopped and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord, half of my possessions I now give to the poor, and if I have cheated anyone of anything, I am paying back four times as much!” Then Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this household, because he too is a son of Abraham! 10For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” 11While the people were listening to these things, Jesus proceeded to tell a parable, because he was near to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God was going to appear immediately.

Commentaries on Luke 19:9
- Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 9Jesus said unto him - Bishop Pearce observes: "Probably Luke wrote , not , said unto them, i.e. to those who had before called Zaccheus a sinner; ( Luke 19:7;); for Jesus here speaks of Zaccheus in the third person, he also is a son of Abraham, and therefore he was not then speaking to him."
