Zechariah 9:9-17

9 1Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout in triumph, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your 2king is coming to you; He is 3 4just and 5endowed with salvation, 6Humble, and mounted on a donkey, Even on a 7colt, the 8foal of a donkey.10I will 9cut off the chariot from Ephraim And the 10horse from Jerusalem; And the 11bow of war will be cut off. And He will speak 12peace to the nations; And His 13dominion will be from sea to sea, And from the 14River to the ends of the earth.

11As for you also, because of the 15blood of My covenant with you, I have set your 16prisoners free from the 17waterless pit.12Return to the 18 19stronghold, O prisoners 20who have the 21hope; This very day I am declaring that I will restore 22double to you.13For I will 23bend Judah 24as My bow, I will fill the bow with Ephraim. And I will stir up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O 25Greece; And I will make you like a 26warrior’s sword.14Then the Lord will appear 27over them, And His 28arrow will go forth like lightning; And the Lord 29God will blow the 30trumpet, And will march in the 31storm winds of the south.15 32The Lord of hosts will defend them. And they will 33devour and trample on the 34sling stones; And they will drink and be 35boisterous as with wine; And they will be filled like a sacrificial basin, Drenched like the 36corners of the altar.16And the Lord their God will 37save them in that day As the flock of His people; For they are as the stones of a 38crown, 39Sparkling in His land.17For what 40 41comeliness and 42beauty will be 43theirs! Grain will make the young men flourish, and new wine the virgins.
