12Ifהֵ֣ן׀henH2005a manאִ֨ישׁ'ishH376carriesיִשָּׂא־yi.sa'-H5375holyקֹ֜דֶשׁKo.deshH6944meatבְּשַׂר־be.sar-H1320in thefoldבִּכְנַ֣ףbikh.NafH3671of his garmentבִּגְד֗וֹbig.DoH899,and touchesוְנָגַ֣עve.na.Ga'H5060breadהַלֶּ֨חֶםha.Le.chemH3899withthis foldבִּ֠כְנָפוֹbikh.na.foH3671,or cookedH5138foodהַנָּזִ֜ידha.na.ZidH5138,wineהַיַּ֧יִןhai.Ya.yinH3196,oilשֶׁ֛מֶןShe.menH8081,or anyכָּל־kol-H3605otherfoodמַאֲכָ֖לma.'a.KhalH3978,will it becomeH6942holyהֲיִקְדָּ֑שׁha.yik.DashH6942?’”And the priestsהַכֹּהֲנִ֛יםha.ko.ha.NimH3548answeredוַיַּעֲנ֧וּvai.ya.'a.NuH6030, “Noלֹֽא׃Lo'H3808.”
13Then Haggaiחַגַּ֔יcha.GaiH2292saidH559, “Ifאִם־'im-H518one who is uncleanטְמֵא־te.me'-H2931from acorpseנֶ֛פֶשׁNe.feshH5315touchesיִגַּ֧עyi.Ga'H5060anyבְּכָל־be.kholH3605of theseאֵ֖לֶּה'E.lehH428, will the latterbecomeהֲיִטְמָ֑אha.yit.Ma'H2930uncleanיִטְמָֽא׃yit.Ma'H2930?”And the priestsהַכֹּהֲנִ֛יםha.ko.ha.NimH3548answeredוַיַּעֲנ֧וּvai.ya.'a.NuH6030, “It will becomeH2930uncleanH2930.”
14Then Haggaiחַגַּ֜יcha.GaiH2292saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “‘Soכֵּ֣ןkenH3651is thisהַ֠זֶּהHa.zehH2088peopleהָֽעָם־ha.'om-H5971.And soוְכֵן־ve.khen-H3651is thisהַזֶּ֤הha.ZehH2088nationהַגּ֨וֹיha.GoyH1471beforeלְפָנַי֙le.fa.NaiH6440Me,’ declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068, ‘and soוְכֵ֖ןve.KhenH3651is everyכָּל־kol-H3605workמַעֲשֵׂ֣הma.'a.SehH4639of their handsיְדֵיהֶ֑םye.dei.HemH3027;and whatוַאֲשֶׁ֥רva.'a.SherH834they offerיַקְרִ֛יבוּyak.Ri.vuH7126thereשָׁ֖םshamH8033is uncleanטָמֵ֥אta.Me'H2931.
15But nowוְעַתָּה֙ve.'a.TahH6258, doconsiderשִֽׂימוּ־ לְבַבְכֶ֔םsi.mu- le.vav.KhemH7760H3824from thisהַזֶּ֖הha.ZehH2088dayהַיּ֥וֹםhai.YomH3117onwardוָמָ֑עְלָהva.Ma.'e.lahH4605:beforeמִן־ מִטֶּ֧רֶםmin- mi.Te.remH4480H2962onestoneאֶ֛בֶן'E.venH68was placedשֽׂוּם־sum-H7760on anotherאֶ֖בֶן'E.venH68in the templeבְּהֵיכַ֥לbe.hei.KhalH1964of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068,
16from that timeH1961whenone cameבָּא֙ba'H935to a grainheapעֲרֵמַ֣ת'a.re.MatH6194of twentyעֶשְׂרִ֔ים'es.RimH6242measures,there would be only tenעֲשָׂרָ֑ה'a.sa.RahH6235; and whenone cameבָּ֣אba'H935to the wineהַיֶּ֗קֶבhai.Ye.kevH3342vatH3342to drawלַחְשֹׂף֙lach.SofH2834fiftyחֲמִשִּׁ֣יםcha.mi.ShimH2572measuresפּוּרָ֔הpu.RahH6333, there would be onlytwentyעֶשְׂרִֽים׃'es.RimH6242.
17I smoteהִכֵּ֨יתִיhi.Kei.tiH5221you andeveryכָּל־kol-H3605workמַעֲשֵׂ֣הma.'a.SehH4639of your handsיְדֵיכֶ֑םye.dei.KhemH3027withblastingH7711windH7711,mildewוּבַיֵּֽרָקוֹן֙u.vai.ye.ra.kOnH3420and hailוּבַבָּרָ֔דu.va.ba.RadH1259; yet you did not come backto Me,’ declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

19Is the seedהַזֶּ֙רַע֙ha.Ze.ra'H2233stillהַע֤וֹדha.'odH5750in the barnבַּמְּגוּרָ֔הba.me.gu.RahH4035?EvenH5704includingH5704the vineהַגֶּ֨פֶןha.Ge.fenH1612,the figוְהַתְּאֵנָ֧הve.ha.te.'e.NahH8384treeH8384,the pomegranateוְהָרִמּ֛וֹןve.ha.ri.MonH7416and the oliveהַזַּ֖יִתha.Za.yitH2132treeוְעֵ֥ץve.'EtzH6086,it has not borneנָשָׂ֑אna.Sa'H5375fruit.Yet from thisהַזֶּ֖הha.ZehH2088dayהַיּ֥וֹםhai.YomH3117on I willblessאֲבָרֵֽךְ׃ ס'a.va.RekhH1288you.’”
