Proverbs 8:4-13
4“To you, O men, I call, And my voice is to the sons of men.5O 12naive ones, understand prudence; And, O 3fools, understand 4wisdom.6Listen, for I will speak 5noble things; And the opening of my lips will reveal 6right things.7For my 7mouth will utter truth; And wickedness is an abomination to my lips.8All the utterances of my mouth are in righteousness; There is nothing 8crooked or perverted in them.9They are all 9straightforward to him who understands, And right to those who 10find knowledge.10Take my 11instruction and not silver, And knowledge rather than choicest gold.11For wisdom is 12better than 13jewels; And 14all desirable things cannot compare with her.
12“I, wisdom, 15dwell with prudence, And I find 16knowledge and discretion.13The 17fear of the Lord is to hate evil; 18Pride and arrogance and 19the evil way And the 20perverted mouth, I hate.
