Proverbs 3:19-35

19The Lord 1by wisdom founded the earth, By understanding He 2established the heavens.20By His knowledge the 3deeps were broken up And the 4skies drip with dew.21My son, 5let them not 6vanish from your sight; Keep sound wisdom and discretion,22So they will be 7life to your soul And 8adornment to your neck.23Then you will 9walk in your way securely And your foot will not 10stumble.24When you 11lie down, you will not be afraid; When you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.2512Do not be afraid of sudden fear Nor of the 1314onslaught of the wicked when it comes;26For the Lord will be 15your confidence And will 16keep your foot from being caught.

2717Do not withhold good from 18those to whom it is due, When it is in your power to do it.2819Do not say to your neighbor, “Go, and come back, And tomorrow I will give it,” When you have it with you.2920Do not devise harm against your neighbor, While he lives securely beside you.3021Do not contend with a man without cause, If he has done you no harm.3122Do not envy a man of violence And do not choose any of his ways.32For the 23devious are an abomination to the Lord; But 24He is 25intimate with the upright.33The 26curse of the Lord is on the house of the wicked, But He 27blesses the dwelling of the righteous.34Though 28He scoffs at the scoffers, Yet 29He gives grace to the afflicted.3530The wise will inherit honor, But fools 31display dishonor.
