Proverbs 1:25-33

25And you 1neglected all my counsel And did not 2want my reproof;26I will also 3laugh at your 4calamity; I will mock when your 5dread comes,27When your dread comes like a storm And your calamity comes like a 6whirlwind, When distress and anguish come upon you.28Then they will 7call on me, but I will not answer; They will 8seek me diligently but they will not find me,29Because they 9hated knowledge And did not choose the fear of the Lord.30They 10would not accept my counsel, They spurned all my reproof.31So they shall 11eat of the fruit of their own way And be 12satiated with their own devices.32For the 13waywardness of the 14naive will kill them, And the complacency of fools will destroy them.33But 15he who listens to me shall 16live securely And will be at ease from the dread of evil.”
