Matthew 23:18-22
18And, ‘Whoever swears by the altar, that is nothing, but whoever swears by the 1offering on it, he is obligated.’ 19You blind men, 2which is 3more important, the 4offering, or the altar that sanctifies the 5offering? 20Therefore, 6whoever swears by the altar, swears both by 7the altar and by everything on it. 21And 8whoever swears by the 9temple, swears both by 10the temple and by Him who 11dwells within it. 22And 12whoever swears by heaven, 13swears both by the throne of God and by Him who sits upon it.
