Judges 5:6-11
6“In the days of 1Shamgar the son of Anath, In the days of 2Jael, the highways 3were deserted, And travelers 4went by 5roundabout ways.7The peasantry ceased, they ceased in Israel, Until I, Deborah, arose, Until I arose, a mother in Israel.86New gods were chosen; Then war was in the gates. Not a shield or a spear was seen Among forty thousand in Israel.9My heart goes out to 7the commanders of Israel, The volunteers among the people; Bless the Lord!108You who ride on 9white donkeys, You who sit on rich carpets, And you who travel on the road--10sing!11At the sound of those who divide flocks among 11the watering places, There they shall recount 12the righteous deeds of the Lord, The righteous deeds for His 13peasantry in Israel. Then the people of the Lord went down 14to the gates.
