John 2:14-18
141And He found in the temple those who were selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers seated at their tables.
15And He made a scourge of cords, and drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen; and He poured out the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables;
16and to those who were selling 2the doves He said, “Take these things away; stop making 3My Father’s house a 4place of business.”
17His 5disciples remembered that it was written, “6Zeal for Your house will consume me.”
187The Jews then said to Him, “8What sign do You show us 9as your authority for doing these things?”
