Jeremiah 6:4-7
412Prepare war against her; Arise, and let us 3attack at 4noon. Woe to us, for the day declines, For the shadows of the evening lengthen!5Arise, and let us 5attack by night And 6destroy her 7palaces!”6For thus says the Lord of hosts, “8Cut down her trees And cast up a 9siege against Jerusalem. This is the city to be punished, In whose midst there is only 10oppression.711As a well 12keeps its waters fresh, So she 13keeps fresh her wickedness. 14Violence and destruction are heard in her; 15Sickness and wounds are ever before Me.
