Jeremiah 3:4-7

4Have you not just now called to Me, ‘1My Father, You are the 23friend of my 4youth?55Will He be angry forever? Will He 6be indignant to the end?’ Behold, you have spoken And have done evil things, And you have 7had your way.”

6Then the Lord said to me in the days of Josiah the king, “Have you seen what faithless Israel did? She 8went up on every high hill and under every green tree, and she was a harlot there. 79I 10thought, ‘After she has done all these things she will return to Me’; but she did not return, and her 11treacherous sister Judah saw it.
