Jeremiah 12:13-17

13They have 1sown wheat and have reaped thorns, They have 2strained themselves 3to no profit. But be ashamed of your 45harvest Because of the 6fierce anger of the Lord.”

14Thus says the Lord concerning all My 7wicked neighbors who 8strike at the inheritance with which I have endowed My people Israel, “Behold I am about to uproot them from their land and will 9uproot the house of Judah from among them. 15And it will come about that after I have uprooted them, I will 10again have compassion on them; and I will 11bring them back, each one to his inheritance and each one to his land. 16Then if they will really 12learn the ways of My people, to 13swear by My name, ‘As the Lord lives,’ even as they taught My people to 14swear by Baal, they will be 15built up in the midst of My people. 17But if they will not listen, then I will 16uproot that nation, uproot and destroy it,” declares the Lord.
