James 2:5-9

5Listen, 1my beloved brethren: did not 2God choose the poor 3of this world to be 4rich in faith and 5heirs of the kingdom which He 6promised to those who love Him? 6But you have dishonored the poor man. Is it not the rich who oppress you and 7personally 8drag you into 9court? 710Do they not blaspheme the fair name 11by which you have been called?

8If, however, you 12are fulfilling the 13royal law according to the Scripture, “14You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing well. 9But if you 15show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the 16law as transgressors.
