James 1:12-18
121Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has 2been approved, he will receive 3the crown of life which the Lord 4has promised to those who 5love Him. 13Let no one say when he is tempted, “6I am being tempted 7by God”; for God cannot be tempted 8by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone. 14But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. 15Then 9when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when 10sin 11is accomplished, it brings forth death. 1612Do not be 13deceived, 14my beloved brethren. 17Every good thing given and every perfect gift is 15from above, coming down from 16the Father of lights, 17with whom there is no variation or 18shifting shadow. 18In the exercise of 19His will He 20brought us forth by 21the word of truth, so that we would be 22a kind of 23first fruits 24among His creatures.
