Hosea 9:1-5
11Do not rejoice, O Israel, 2with exultation like the 3nations! For you have 4played the harlot, 5forsaking your God. You have loved harlots’ earnings on 6every threshing floor.2Threshing floor and wine press will 7not feed them, And the new wine will fail 8them.3They will not remain in 9the Lord’s land, But Ephraim will return to 10Egypt, And in 11Assyria they will eat 12unclean food.4They will not pour out drink offerings of 13wine to the Lord, 14Their sacrifices will not please Him. Their bread will 15be like 16mourners’ bread; All who eat of it will be 17defiled, For their bread will be for 18themselves alone; It will not enter the house of the Lord.519What will you do on the day of the appointed festival And on the day of the 20feast of the Lord?
